Dough Preparation
- 1
Boil the Mixture
In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon of salt. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
- 2
Add Flour
Once it is boiling, remove the saucepan from heat and quickly stir in 1 cup of all-purpose flour until the mixture forms a ball. This should take about 1 minute.
- 3
Cool the Dough
Allow the dough to cool for about 5 minutes. Then, add 2 large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the dough is smooth and elastic.
Frying Churros
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat 4 cups of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Transfer the churro dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe strips of dough (about 4-6 inches long) into the hot oil.
