Mashed Potatoes

Method

Sirloin Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the sirloin steak with olive oil, salt, and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest and Slice

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it thinly.

Garlic Butter

  1. 4

    Prepare Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Stir in chopped parsley.

Toast Points

  1. 5

    Toast the Bread

In the same skillet, quickly toast the slices of bread until golden and crispy on both sides.

Mashed Potatoes

  1. 6

    Cook Potatoes

Boil the peeled and cubed potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 7

    Mash and Mix

Drain the potatoes and return to the pot. Add milk, butter, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Vegetables

  1. 8

    Cook Vegetables

Steam or sauté the mixed vegetables until tender but still crisp, about 5-7 minutes.

Assembly

  1. 9

    Plate the Dish

Place the toast points on a plate, top with sliced sirloin, and drizzle with garlic butter. Serve with a side of mashed potatoes and vegetables.
