Brewing Instructions
1. Preparation
Sanitize all brewing equipment before starting.
2. Mashing
In a large pot, heat 3 liters of water to 70°C (158°F). Add the pale malt and caramel malt, and maintain the temperature for 60 minutes.
3. Lautering
After mashing, separate the wort from the grains by draining it through a strainer.
4. Boiling
Bring the wort to a boil. Add the bittering hops and boil for 60 minutes. Add the aroma hops in the last 5 minutes of the boil.
5. Cooling
Cool the wort quickly using an immersion chiller or an ice bath until it reaches about 20°C (68°F).
6. Fermentation
Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermentation vessel. Pitch the yeast and seal with an airlock. Ferment at room temperature for 1-2 weeks.
7. Bottling
After fermentation, dissolve the priming sugar in a small amount of water and add it to the beer. Bottle the beer and cap securely.
8. Conditioning
Allow the bottles to condition at room temperature for another 1-2 weeks before refrigerating.
