Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the sirloin steak with salt and black pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Once hot, sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest before slicing.

  2. 2

    Toast the Bread

While the steak is resting, toast the bread slices in the same skillet or a toaster until golden brown.

  3. 3

    Make Garlic Butter

Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a small saucepan. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Mashed Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes, then boil them in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and mash with the remaining butter and milk until creamy. Season with salt to taste.

  5. 5

    Cook the Broccoli

Steam or boil the broccoli florets for about 5 minutes until bright green and tender. Season with salt and pepper.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Dish

Place the toasted bread on a plate, top with sliced sirloin steak, and drizzle with garlic butter. Serve alongside a scoop of mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli.
