Method

Fried Chicken

  1. 1

    Marinate Chicken

In a bowl, combine chicken thighs with buttermilk and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

  2. 2

    Prepare Breading

In a shallow dish, mix flour, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Bread and Fry Chicken

Remove chicken from buttermilk, dredge in the flour mixture, and fry in hot oil until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side.

Nashville Hot Sauce

  1. 4

    Make the Sauce

In a saucepan, combine cayenne, brown sugar, garlic powder, paprika, vegetable oil, and salt. Cook over low heat for about 5 minutes, stirring until smooth.

Jalapeño Coleslaw

    Mix Coleslaw

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, carrots, jalapeños, mayonnaise, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix well and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Beer Battered Fries

    Prepare Fries

Soak cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes, then drain and pat dry.

  2. 7

    Make Beer Batter

In a bowl, whisk together flour, beer, and salt until smooth.

  3. 8

    Fry the Fries

Dip potatoes in the batter and fry in hot oil until golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

Assemble the Dish

  1. 9

    Build Your Sandwich

Place fried chicken on a brioche bun, drizzle with Nashville hot sauce, top with jalapeño coleslaw, and serve with beer battered fries on the side.
