Directions

  1. 1

    Cook the Mesquite Patty

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the mesquite burger patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until fully cooked. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  2. 2

    Fry the Egg

In the same skillet, add a tablespoon of butter. Once melted, crack the egg into the skillet and cook to your desired doneness (sunny side up, over easy, etc.). Season with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Melt the Cheese

Place the slice of cheddar cheese on top of the cooked patty in the skillet for about 1 minute, or until melted.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Bread

While the cheese is melting, toast the rosemary sourdough bread slices in a toaster or on a separate skillet until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Melt

On one slice of toasted rosemary sourdough, place the mesquite patty with melted cheddar. Top with the fried egg and drizzle with Wisconsin maple syrup. Place the second slice of bread on top.

  6. 6

    Serve

Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately while warm.
