Method
Marinating the Salmon
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper. Whisk until the brown sugar is dissolved.
- 2
Marinate the Salmon
Place the salmon fillet in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Cooking the Salmon
- 3
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 4
Bake the Salmon
Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- 5
Garnish and Serve
Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven. Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top. Serve with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the salmon.
