Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Baby Octopus

Rinse the baby octopus under cold running water. Remove the beak (the mouth) and any innards if necessary. Pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Octopus

In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, olive oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, grated ginger, sesame oil, chili flakes, salt, and black pepper. Add the cleaned baby octopus to the bowl and toss to coat it evenly with the marinade. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a skillet or frying pan, heat a little olive oil over medium heat.

  2. 4

    Cook the Octopus

Add the marinated baby octopus to the pan. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until the octopus is tender and cooked through.

  3. 5

    Finish with Green Onions

Once the octopus is cooked, remove from heat and stir in the chopped green onions. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if necessary.
