Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Measure and Heat Water

Start by measuring 2 cups of fresh, cold water. Pour the water into a kettle and heat it until it reaches about 175°F (80°C). This is the ideal temperature for brewing green tea to avoid bitterness.

  2. 2

    Prepare Tea Leaves

While the water is heating, measure out 2 tablespoons of high-quality green tea leaves. If using tea bags, simply take out 2 bags.

Brewing

  1. 3

    Steep the Tea

Once the water has reached the desired temperature, pour it over the tea leaves in a teapot or a heat-resistant container. Allow the tea to steep for about 2 to 3 minutes. Adjust steeping time based on your taste preference; shorter for a lighter flavor, longer for a deeper taste.

  2. 4

    Strain the Tea

After steeping, strain the tea leaves using a fine mesh strainer or remove the tea bags if using. This will give you a clear, beautiful green tea.

Serving Suggestions

  1. 5

    Add Optional Ingredients

If desired, serve the tea with a teaspoon of honey for sweetness or add lemon slices for a refreshing hint of citrus. Stir gently to combine.

  2. 6

    Enjoy

Pour the tea into cups and enjoy it warm. Green tea can be enjoyed on its own or paired with light snacks.
