Method

For the Lobster

  1. 1

    Prepare the Water

Fill a large pot with 4 liters of water and add 3 tablespoons of salt. Bring the water to a rolling boil.

  2. 2

    Cook the Lobster

Once the water is boiling, carefully add the live lobster to the pot. Cover and steam for 8-10 minutes until the lobster is bright red and cooked through.

  3. 3

    Remove the Lobster

Using tongs, remove the lobster from the pot and place it on a plate to cool for a few minutes before serving.

For the Coleslaw

  1. 4

    Prepare the Vegetables

Shred the green cabbage and grate the carrot. Combine them in a large mixing bowl.

  2. 5

    Mix the Dressing

In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until smooth.

  3. 6

    Combine

Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrot mixture. Toss until all the vegetables are well coated.

  4. 7

    Chill

Cover the coleslaw and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

For the Side (Choose One)

  1. 8

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and scrub the medium potatoes. Boil them in salted water for about 15-20 minutes until fork-tender. Drain and serve.

  2. 9

    Prepare the Rice

Rinse the cup of rice under cold water. Cook according to package instructions, typically simmering in water for 18-20 minutes until fluffy.

  3. 10

    Prepare the Broccoli

Cut the head of broccoli into florets. Steam the florets for about 5-7 minutes until bright green and tender.
