Method

Tuna Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tuna

Cut the sushi-grade tuna into small cubes, approximately 1 cm in size. Place the tuna in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Tuna

Add the sweet tamari and togarashi seasoning to the bowl and mix gently to coat the tuna evenly. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare Shiso Leaves

Wash the shiso leaves thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel.

Spicy Mayo Sauce

  1. 4

    Mix Spicy Mayo

In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Sriracha sauce, and lime juice. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

Garlic Crunch

  1. 5

    Prepare Garlic

Peel the garlic cloves and slice them thinly.

  2. 6

    Fry Garlic

In a saucepan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the sliced garlic. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Assemble the Dish

On a plate, place the marinated tuna and gently press it down to form a compact layer. Top with crispy garlic, drizzle with spicy mayo, and garnish with thinly sliced jalapeño and shiso leaves.

  2. 8

    Serve

Serve immediately while fresh, allowing the flavors to shine through. Enjoy your Pressed Spicy Oshi Tuna!
