Method
Preparation
- 1
Juicing the Oranges
Start by selecting ripe, juicy oranges. Cut them in half and use a citrus juicer or reamer to extract the juice. Strain the juice through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any pulp or seeds, if desired.
- 2
Chilling the Prosecco
Place the bottle of Prosecco in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to ensure it is well chilled.
Mixing
- 3
Combining Ingredients
In a champagne flute, pour 1 part fresh orange juice (1/2 cup) followed by 1 part chilled Prosecco (1/2 cup). Adjust the ratios to your taste, using more juice for a sweeter drink or more Prosecco for a drier taste.

Garnishing (Optional)
You can garnish the mimosa with a slice of orange or a sprig of mint for an added touch of elegance.
