Method

Preparation

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins with butter and dust with cocoa powder to prevent sticking.

2

Melt the Chocolate and Butter

In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter and semi-sweet chocolate over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

3

Mix the Batter

In a separate bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, eggs, egg yolks, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until well combined. Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture and stir until smooth. Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined.

Baking

4

Fill the Ramekins

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling them about ¾ full.

5

Bake the Cakes

Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is soft.

6

Cool and Serve

Remove from the oven and let the cakes cool for 1 minute. Carefully invert each ramekin onto a plate, allowing the molten center to flow out. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with vanilla ice cream and fresh berries if desired.
