In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.

Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat if necessary.

Stir in the chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes to combine the flavors.

Add the black beans to the skillet. Mix thoroughly and let it heat through for another 2-3 minutes.

Prepare the Tortillas
Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over low heat for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

Assemble the Tacos
Take a tortilla and spoon a generous amount of the beef and black bean mixture onto the center. Top with shredded cheese, sour cream, sliced jalapeños, and chopped cilantro.

Slice the avocado and lime. Serve the tacos with avocado slices and lime wedges on the side for squeezing.
