Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Beef

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, sesame oil, grated ginger, black pepper, and gochujang. Mix well to create the marinade. Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours for better flavor.

Cooking

  1. 2

    Cook the Onions

In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the thinly sliced onion and sauté until they become translucent and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the onions from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 3

    Cook the Beef

In the same skillet, add the marinated ribeye steak along with the marinade. Cook on high heat for about 5-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is cooked through and slightly caramelized.

  3. 4

    Combine and Serve

Once the beef is cooked, return the sautéed onions to the skillet and mix well. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to combine flavors. Garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
