Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Cream Butter and Sugars
In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add Eggs and Vanilla
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.

Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.

Fold in Chocolate Chips
Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Scoop and Bake
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
