Method
Preparation
Prepare the Roasted Garlic
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Wrap the garlic cloves in aluminum foil with a drizzle of olive oil. Roast in the oven for about 30-35 minutes until soft. Allow to cool, then squeeze out the garlic from the skins and mash into a paste.
Prepare the Pizza Dough
On a floured surface, stretch or roll out the pizza dough into a 14-inch circle. Transfer to a pizza stone or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Assembly
Add Olive Oil and Garlic
Brush the stretched pizza dough with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and evenly spread the mashed roasted garlic on top.
Spread the Fig Jam
Evenly spread the fig jam over the garlic-infused pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
Add Cheeses and Prosciutto
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese over the fig jam. Then, layer the prosciutto slices on top.
Baking and Finishing Touches
Bake the Pizza
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Bake the pizza for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
Garnish and Serve
Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven. Top with fresh basil and arugula, then drizzle with balsamic glaze before slicing and serving.
