Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare Mushrooms

Clean the Portobello mushrooms and remove the stems. Cut the caps into small cubes.

  3. 3

    Seasoning

In a mixing bowl, combine the cubed Portobello mushrooms, olive oil, garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Toss until mushrooms are well coated.

  4. 4

    Bake

Spread the seasoned mushrooms evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown.

  5. 5

    Add Cheese (Optional)

If using, sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the croutons during the last 5 minutes of baking for added flavor.

  6. 6

    Cool and Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your Portobello croutons on salads, soups, or as a snack!
