Brisket Dip Ingredients

Method

Brisket Dip Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brisket

Season the brisket with salt and black pepper. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sear the brisket on all sides until browned. Add the beef broth and garlic cloves, cover, and simmer for about 3 hours, or until the brisket is tender.

  2. 2

    Make the Gruyère Fondue

In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream and Gruyère cheese over low heat, stirring until the cheese is melted and smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Frites

Cut the potatoes into thin strips to make frites. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potato strips in batches until golden and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per batch. Remove and drain on paper towels, seasoning with salt.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Dip

Once the brisket is tender, shred it with two forks. Serve the shredded brisket with the Gruyère fondue, sliced ciabatta, and a side of au jus made from the cooking liquid. Serve the crispy frites on the side.
