Ribs Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.

  2. 2

    Bake the Ribs

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover tightly with another sheet of foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until tender.

  3. 3

    Baste and Grill

Remove the ribs from the oven and preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Brush the ribs with barbecue sauce and grill for 5-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the sauce is caramelized.

Coleslaw Preparation

  1. 4

    Make the Coleslaw

In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and carrots. In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss to coat. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serve

Serve the ribs with extra barbecue sauce on the side, the coleslaw, and corn on the cob.
