Wings

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Wings

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Season the whole chicken wings with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Let them sit for about 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Smoke the Wings

Place the hickory wood chips in the smoker. Smoke the wings for about 1.5 hours until they are cooked through and have a nice smoky flavor.

  3. 3

    Fry the Wings

Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C). Dredge the smoked wings in all-purpose flour and fry them in batches until they are golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Sauce

In a saucepan, combine honey, hot sauce, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and minced garlic. Simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes until well combined.

  5. 5

    Coat the Wings

Toss the fried wings in the sweet and spicy gold sauce until evenly coated.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the wings hot with ranch and blue cheese dips, and garnish with celery and carrot sticks.
