Method
Preparation and Assembly
- 1
Prepare the Brownie Batter
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until combined. Allow to cool slightly, then mix in the eggs and vanilla extract.
- 2
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- 3
Bake the Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let cool slightly.
- 4
Assemble the Sundae
Cut the warm brownies into squares and place one square in a bowl. Top with a scoop of chocolate ice cream, drizzle with chocolate sauce, and add whipped cream on top. Finish with chocolate shavings if desired.
