Dough

Honey Mustard Sauce

Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the water and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, or until foamy.

  2. 2

    Make the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.

  3. 3

    Let the Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  4. 4

    Shape the Pretzels

Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a long rope and shape it into a pretzel.

  5. 5

    Boil the Pretzels

In a large pot, bring 10 cups of water and baking soda to a boil. Boil each pretzel for 30 seconds, then remove and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  6. 6

    Egg Wash

Beat the egg and brush it over each pretzel for a golden finish.

  7. 7

    Bake

Bake pretzels in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Beer Cheese Fondue Preparation

  1. 8

    Combine Ingredients

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine beer, cream cheese, and mustard. Stir until the cream cheese is melted and the mixture is smooth.

  2. 9

    Add Cheese

Gradually add shredded cheddar cheese, stirring continuously until melted and creamy. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste.

Honey Mustard Sauce Preparation

  1. 10

    Mix the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine honey and Dijon mustard. Stir until well blended.
