Preparation Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to allow the cheese to melt.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Buns

While the cheese is melting, slice the hamburger buns in half and toast them lightly in another skillet or toaster.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burgers

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked beef patty with melted cheese, and then add slices of tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the cheeseburgers immediately while hot with your favorite condiments.
