Method

Cooking the Ribs

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor and tenderness.

  2. 2

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together the cajun seasoning, brown sugar, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub the mixture evenly over the ribs.

  3. 3

    Bake the Ribs

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Drizzle olive oil over the ribs and wrap them tightly in the foil. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.

  4. 4

    Apply BBQ Sauce

Remove the ribs from the oven, discard the foil, and brush a generous amount of BBQ sauce over the ribs. Return to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 30 minutes.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the ribs from the oven, let them rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
