Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Dough
In a large bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy. Add flour, olive oil, and salt to the mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
- 2
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Form into a ball.
- 3
Let the Dough Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- 4
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your fire-roasted pizza oven according to the manufacturer's instructions. Ideally, you want it to reach around 700°F (370°C).
- 5
Shape the Pizzas
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 2-4 equal portions, depending on your desired pizza size. Roll out each portion into a round shape.
- 6
Add Toppings
Spread a layer of tomato sauce on each pizza base. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, then add pepperoni, bell peppers, red onion, and fresh basil.
- 7
Bake the Pizza
Transfer the prepared pizza to the fire-roasted oven and bake for about 5-10 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- 8
Serve
Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.
