Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the applewood smoked bacon until crispy. Remove from pan and let drain on paper towels. Once cooled, crumble the bacon.

  2. 2

    Char the Corn

In the same skillet, add corn kernels and cook until charred and slightly caramelized. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Dressing

In a bowl, whisk together buttermilk, mayonnaise, chopped chives, garlic powder, onion powder, dill weed, salt, and black pepper until smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Salad

Cut the iceberg lettuce into wedges. Place each wedge on a plate and top with charred corn, cherry tomatoes, diced avocado, crumbled bacon, crispy onions, and blue cheese.

  5. 5

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the buttermilk-ranch dressing over the salad just before serving.
