Method
Grilling the Filet

Prepare the Filet
Season the filet mignon pieces with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450-500°F or 230-260°C).

Grill the Filet
Place the seasoned filets on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.

Rest the Filet
Remove the filets from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Making the Au Jus

Combine Ingredients
In a saucepan, combine beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, and bring to a simmer.

Thicken the Au Jus
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water until smooth, then slowly stir into the simmering broth. Continue to cook until thickened.
Serving

Plate the Filet
Serve the grilled filet mignon on a plate and drizzle with the prepared au jus.
