Fried Crab Claw Ingredients

Method

Fried Crab Claw Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crab Claws

Rinse the crab claws under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Make the Breading

In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Egg Mixture

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined.

  4. 4

    Coat the Crab Claws

Dip each crab claw first into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off, then dredge it in the flour-cornmeal mixture until fully coated.

  5. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  6. 6

    Fry the Crab Claws

Carefully add the coated crab claws to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  7. 7

    Drain and Serve

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried crab claws and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot.
