Burger Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Patties
Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and form into loose balls. Season with salt and pepper.
- 2
Cook the Patties
Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter. Once melted, place 2 beef balls in the skillet and smash them down with a spatula to form patties. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the edges are browned.
- 3
Add Cheese
Flip the patties and immediately place a slice of American cheese on each. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- 4
Toast the Buns
In a separate pan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter and toast the brioche buns until golden brown.
- 5
Assemble the Burger
Place one patty on the bottom bun, add lettuce, tomato slices, and onion rings, then top with the second patty. Close with the top bun.
