Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This helps it cook evenly.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Rub the olive oil all over the steak, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F to 500°F). If using a grill pan, heat it over medium-high heat on the stovetop.

  4. 4

    Grill the Steak

Place the steak on the grill. For medium-rare, cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, adjusting the time for your preferred doneness.

  5. 5

    Add Butter and Herbs

During the last minute of cooking, add the butter and optional rosemary to the grill, allowing the butter to melt and infuse the steak with flavor. Spoon the melted butter over the steak.

  6. 6

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  7. 7

    Serve

Slice the steak against the grain and serve with your choice of two sides.
