Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Preparation of Potatoes

Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips or wedges, depending on your preference.

  2. 2

    Soaking Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps to achieve crispy fries.

  3. 3

    Drying Potatoes

Drain and pat the soaked potatoes dry using a clean kitchen towel or paper towel.

  4. 4

    Heating Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Frying Potatoes

Carefully add the dried potato strips to the hot oil in small batches, avoiding overcrowding. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Draining and Seasoning

Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. While still hot, sprinkle with salt, pepper, and paprika to taste.

  7. 7

    Serving

Serve hot and enjoy your crispy fries!
