Cook the Beef
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.

Brown the Meat
Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.

Season the Mixture
Stir in the chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine and cook for another 2 minutes to allow the spices to meld.

Remove from heat and spoon the beef mixture into taco shells or tortillas. Serve with your favorite toppings like lettuce, cheese, salsa, and sour cream.
