Preparation
- 1
Make the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, crumbled feta cheese, finely chopped fresh dill, and chopped green onions. Season with salt and black pepper, and mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- 2
Prepare the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine 500g of all-purpose flour, 1 tsp of salt, and 250ml of warm water. Mix until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth. Cover with a clean cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- 3
Roll Out the Dough
After resting, divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll out each piece into a thin circle (about 25 cm in diameter).
- 4
Assemble the Plăcintă
Place a generous spoonful of the cheese filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and press the edges to seal. You can crimp the edges with a fork for a decorative touch.
- 5
Cook the Plăcintă
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add a little oil to the pan. Cook each plăcintă for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- 6
Serve
Serve warm, optionally with sour cream or yogurt on the side.
