Preparing the Pește Prăjit

Prepare the Salmon
Season the salmon fillets with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika on both sides.

Coat with Corn Flour
Dredge each seasoned salmon fillet in corn flour, ensuring an even coating.

Pan-Fry the Salmon
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the salmon fillets and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Preparing the Mămăligă

Boil Water
In a pot, bring the water to a boil. Add salt.

Add Cornmeal
Gradually whisk in the cornmeal, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.

Cook the Polenta
Reduce heat to low and continue stirring for about 15-20 minutes until thickened. Stir in butter and mix well. If desired, add grated cheese for extra flavor.
