Method
Brownie Base Preparation
- 1
Melt Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- 2
Combine Sugars
Add granulated sugar and brown sugar to the melted butter, stirring until well combined.
- 3
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Whisk in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing until the batter is smooth and shiny.
- 4
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Whisk together until well mixed.
- 5
Combine Wet and Dry
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 6
Prepare Baking Pan
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- 7
Pour Batter
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
Baking and Topping
- 8
Bake the Brownies
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 9
Add Toppings
Immediately after removing from the oven, sprinkle chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and chopped nuts over the top of the brownies.
- 10
Drizzle Caramel Sauce
Drizzle caramel sauce over the toppings while the brownies are still warm, allowing it to seep into the brownie.
- 11
Cool and Slice
Let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing into squares.
