Eggs and Dressing

Method

Preparation and Serving

  1. 1

    Boil the Eggs

Place the large eggs in a pot and cover them with cold water, ensuring the water level is about an inch above the eggs. Turn the heat to high and bring the water to a rolling boil.

  2. 2

    Cook the Eggs

Once the water reaches a boil, cover the pot with a lid, remove it from heat, and let the eggs sit for 9-12 minutes depending on your desired firmness. For slightly softer yolks, aim for 9 minutes; for fully hard-boiled, aim for 12 minutes.

  3. 3

    Cool the Eggs

After cooking, carefully transfer the eggs to a bowl filled with ice water. Let them cool for at least 5 minutes to stop the cooking process and make peeling easier.

  4. 4

    Peel the Eggs

Once cooled, gently tap each egg on a hard surface to crack the shell, and peel under running water for easier removal.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Dish

Slice each peeled egg in half lengthwise. Place the halved eggs on a serving platter, yolk side up.

  6. 6

    Add Dressing

Spoon a generous amount of Russian dressing onto the yolk of each egg half. Sprinkle chopped fresh chives over the top, and season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the Spence Farm Eggs immediately as a delicious appetizer or snack. Enjoy!
