    Prepare the Glass

    Preheat your coffee mug or glass by filling it with hot water. Let it sit for a minute, then discard the water to warm the glass.

    Mix the Ingredients

    In the warmed glass, add the Demerara sugar and pour in the Irish whiskey. Stir gently until the sugar is dissolved.

    Add Coffee

    Pour in the hot brewed coffee, filling the glass to about 3/4 full. Stir gently to combine the whiskey and sugar with the coffee.

    Top with Amaretto Cream

    Carefully float the Amaretto cream on top of the coffee by pouring it over the back of a spoon.

    Garnish

    Grate fresh nutmeg over the top of the Amaretto cream to taste.

    Serve

    Serve immediately while hot, and enjoy your Irish coffee!
