Method

Burrito Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fillings

You can choose between shrimp, steak, or a vegetable filling.

  2. 2

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and season with cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Add the sliced steak, season with cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  4. 4

For the vegetable filling, in the same skillet, add the diced onion and sliced bell peppers. Sauté until soft, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  5. 5

In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, steak, or vegetables with black beans and cooked rice. Mix well.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burritos

Gather all the components to build your burrito.

  7. 7

Lay a flour tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spoon a generous amount of the filling mixture onto the lower third of the tortilla. Top with shredded cheese, sour cream, and guacamole.

  8. 8

Fold the sides of the tortilla inwards over the filling, then roll the bottom edge up to enclose the filling. Continue rolling tightly until the burrito is fully wrapped.

  9. 9

    Cook the Burritos

If desired, you can toast the burritos for added crispiness.

  10. 10

In the same skillet, place the burritos seam-side down and cook over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
