Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Brisket
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Rinse the beef brisket under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- 2
Season the Meat
In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Rub this spice mixture all over the brisket.
- 3
Sear the Brisket
In a large oven-safe skillet or Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the brisket and sear on both sides until browned, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- 4
Add Broth and Herbs
Pour the beef broth into the skillet around the brisket. Add the fresh rosemary and thyme on top of the brisket.
- 5
Bake the Brisket
Cover the skillet with a lid or aluminum foil and transfer to the preheated oven. Bake for 3-4 hours, or until the brisket is fork-tender.
- 6
Rest and Serve
Once done, remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with the pan juices.
