Pickle Ingredients

Method

Pickling Process

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cucumbers

Wash the cucumbers thoroughly and slice them into quarters or desired shapes.

  2. 2

    Make the Brine

In a saucepan, combine water, white vinegar, salt, and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the salt and sugar dissolve.

  3. 3

    Add Flavorings

Once the brine is boiling, remove it from heat. Add garlic cloves, dill weed, black peppercorns, and red pepper flakes to the brine.

  4. 4

    Pack the Jars

Place the sliced cucumbers into clean glass jars. Pour the hot brine over the cucumbers, ensuring they are fully submerged.

  5. 5

    Seal and Cool

Seal the jars tightly with lids and let them cool to room temperature. Once cooled, store them in the refrigerator.

  6. 6

    Pickling Time

Allow the pickles to sit in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours before consuming for the best flavor.
