Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Belly

In a pot, combine the pork belly, soy sauce, mirin, sake, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for about 2 hours until the pork is tender.

  2. 2

    Make the Molten Eggs

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Gently add the eggs and boil for 6-7 minutes. Transfer to an ice bath to cool, then peel and set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Garlic-Shallot Oil

Finely chop the garlic and shallot. In a pan, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and shallot, cooking until golden and fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Ramen

Once the pork is cooked, slice it thinly. In a bowl, place cooked ramen noodles, then add pork slices, molten egg (halved), bamboo shoots, and naruto. Garnish with scallions, nori, and drizzle with garlic-shallot oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
