Prepare the OREO® Crust Base
1. Crush the Cookies
Place OREO® cookies in a food processor and pulse until you achieve fine crumbs. Alternatively, place cookies in a resealable plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin.
2. Transfer cookie crumbs to a mixing bowl and stir in melted butter until the mixture resembles wet sand.
3. Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the crumb mixture into the bottom of each serving jar and gently press down to form a crust layer. Place the jars in the refrigerator as you prepare the filling.
Make the Cheesecake Filling
4. In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
5. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and beat until well combined and fluffy.
6. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
7. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
8. Optional: Stir crushed OREO® cookies into the cheesecake filling for extra cookie flavor and texture.
Assemble the Cheesecake Jars
9. Spoon or pipe a layer of the cheesecake mixture over the prepared crust in each jar.
10. Add a short layer of crushed OREO® cookies, then top with another layer of cheesecake filling.
11. Repeat until jars are filled, finishing with a light sprinkle of cookie crumbs or a whole mini OREO® for garnish.
12. Refrigerate jars for at least 2 hours to allow the filling to firm up before serving.
Serve
13. Serve chilled directly in the jars and enjoy your delicious OREO® Cheesecake Jar Dessert!
