Prepare Meatballs

Mix Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, pork sausage, diced banana peppers, minced garlic, egg, bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Form Meatballs
Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake Meatballs
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the meatballs for about 20 minutes, or until cooked through.
Prepare Tomato Gravy

Sauté Aromatics
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened and fragrant, about 5 minutes.

Add Tomatoes and Beer
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, beer, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer.

Combine Meatballs and Gravy
Once the meatballs are done baking, add them to the tomato gravy. Let them simmer together for another 10 minutes.

Prepare Bread
While the meatballs are simmering, toast the slices of Luna bread until golden brown.

Serve the meatballs in tomato gravy, topped with shredded mozzarella and sliced provolone cheese. Enjoy with toasted Luna bread on the side.
