Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the NY Strip steak with salt and pepper. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  2. 2

    Grill the Vegetables

While the steak is resting, slice the portobello mushroom and red onion. Brush them with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are tender and have grill marks.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Salad

In a large bowl, combine the organic lettuce and baby arugula. Add the grilled mushrooms, red onions, sliced fresh tomato, and crumbled blue cheese. Toss gently to combine.

  4. 4

    Add the Steak and Fries

Slice the grilled steak against the grain and place it on top of the salad. Add the shoestring fries for crunch.

  5. 5

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the shallot vinaigrette over the salad just before serving. Toss lightly to coat and serve immediately.
