Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Fruit Filling
In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, chopped rhubarb, sliced strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries. Sprinkle the granulated sugar, flour, lemon juice, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt over the fruit. Gently toss to coat the fruit evenly and set aside.
- 2
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 3
Prepare the Pie Crust
Roll out your pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie pan. Trim any excess crust hanging over the edges.
- 4
Fill the Pie
Pour the prepared fruit filling into the crust, spreading it evenly.
- 5
Top Crust
Cover the filling with a second pie crust, or create a lattice pattern with strips of dough. Seal and flute the edges. Cut slits in the top crust for steam to escape.
- 6
Bake the Pie
Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- 7
Cool and Serve
Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
