Flatbread Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Making the Dough

In a large bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Mixing Ingredients

Add olive oil, salt, and all-purpose flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.

  3. 3

    Kneading

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Rising Time

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  5. 5

    Preheating Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  6. 6

    Shaping the Flatbread

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into two equal pieces. Roll each piece into a flat circle or rectangle on a floured surface.

  7. 7

    Adding Cheese

Place the shaped flatbread onto a baking sheet. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly on top, followed by the grated Parmesan, dried oregano, and garlic powder.

  8. 8

    Baking

Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the edges are golden brown.

  9. 9

    Serving

Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.
