Fried Whole Red Snapper

Prepare the Fish
Clean and gut the whole red snapper, removing any scales if necessary. Rinse under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

Season the Fish
Sprinkle salt and black pepper evenly over the fish, ensuring to season inside the cavity as well.

Coat the Fish
Dredge the seasoned fish in all-purpose flour, making sure it is well-coated, and shake off any excess flour.

Heat the Oil
In a large frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.

Fry the Fish
Carefully place the floured fish into the hot oil. Fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Prepare the Salad Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, sliced cucumber, and chopped green onions.

Make the Dressing
In a separate small bowl, whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame seeds.

Toss the Salad
Pour the dressing over the salad ingredients and toss well to combine. Let sit for a few minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Cook the Rice
In a medium saucepan, combine jasmine rice and water. Bring to a boil over high heat.

Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 15 minutes or until rice is tender and water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork before serving.

Mix the Sauce
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Stir until well mixed.
