Brew the Tea

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Step 2: Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Let the tea steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

  3. 3

    Step 3: Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags from the water.

Sweeten the Tea

  1. 4

    Step 4: Add Sweetener

If desired, stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar, 0.5 cup of honey, or 0.5 cup of agave syrup while the tea is still warm. Stir until completely dissolved.

Add Flavor Enhancers

  1. 5

    Step 5: Enhance Flavor

To add flavor, mix in 0.5 cup of fresh lemon juice, 1 cup of fresh mint leaves, or 1 cup of peach slices to the brewed tea. Stir well.

Cool and Serve

  1. 6

    Step 6: Chill the Tea

Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour until chilled.

  2. 7

    Step 7: Serve Over Ice

To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the chilled tea over the ice, and garnish with lemon slices.
