Fried Pickles
Chipotle Aioli
Method
Fried Pickles
- 1
Prepare the Pickles
Drain the dill pickle slices and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- 2
Set Up the Breading Station
In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. In another bowl, pour the buttermilk.
- 3
Coat the Pickles
Dip each pickle slice into the buttermilk, allowing any excess to drip off, then dredge in the flour-cornmeal mixture, ensuring an even coat.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Pickles
Carefully add the coated pickles in batches to the hot oil. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
